A: 100% of your gratuities are distributed to the crew who you interact with, such as your stateroom attendants, dining and culinary services staff, as well as other members of the onboard team who work behind the scenes to enhance your overall cruise experience. Gratuities are charged at a standard $16.00 USD per person, per day, and can either be paid before your trip, or before you leave the ship.
Q: Do I really need a passport to go on the cruise?
A: Technically, no- you can travel with a verified ID and Birth Certificate, but that is not recommended. If any unexpected events occur out of the country, traveling without a passport can put you at risk, so it's a great idea to use a passport. If you don't have one already, or need to renew, now is a great time to start the process.
Q: What restaurants are included on this ship?
A: Carnival Firenze has a total of 13 complimentary restaurants, ranging from ice cream, to Guy’s Burgers, Mexican and Italian options, pizza, and so much more. There are also a few specialty restaurants available for an additional fee if you’d like an upgraded experience during the cruise.
Q: Is the drink package worth it?
A: It depends. If you and your roommate will likely drink more than 5 drinks a day, including a few sodas, and specialty coffees- the package may save you money, and make your cruise a worry free experience. If you don’t think you’d drink more than five drinks daily, you may be better off adding additional funds to your Sail & Sign® account to avoid unexpected bills at the cruise’s end.
Q: How do I pay for things like drinks, photos, or merchandise on the boat?
A: Sail & Sign® is Carnival's cashless on board credit program, which allows guests to charge onboard purchases and gratuities directly to a personal account for convenience. The Sail & Sign Card must be utilized for all money transactions on board as cash will not be an accepted form of payment. You have the option of linking this account to a debit or credit card, or you can visit guest services on board to deposit cash. You can receive a refund of any cash paid overages by visiting guest services on board at the end of the cruise, or have any overages over $10 sent to you via check from Carnival.
